TAP interface connector used on GOEPEL Electronics JTAG / boundary-scan hardware
GOEPEL Electronics JTAG / boundary-scan hardware, such as SFX/TAP Transceivers, provide 2x5 pin male IDC connectors (2.54mm [0.1”] pitch), for test bus interface (TAP) connectors. TAP cables would require mating female IDC connectors (2 rows with 5 pins each), an example is the 3M IDC socket connector (10 contacts), manufacturer part number 89110-0101 (e.g. available from Allied, stock number 618-8900).
The following table shows the pinout of the TAP connectors provided on GOEPEL Electronics JTAG / boundary scan hardware:
| Pin number | Signal | Direction | Note |
| 1 | TCK | OUT | |
| 2 | GND | ||
| 3 | TMS | OUT | |
| 4 | GND | ||
| 5 | TDI | IN | must be connected to the UUT's TDO |
| 6 | GND | ||
| 7 | TDO | OUT | must be connected to the UUT's TDI |
